Chateau Climens
For a good part of the 19th century, Chateau Climens was owned by the Lacoste family. In 1871 Climens was sold to Alfred Ribet who in turn in 1885 sold the property to Henri Gounouilhou whose family managed the estate until its current owner, Lucien Lurton, purchased it in 1971. The density of plantation is around 6,300 vines per hectare with plantings of 100% Semillon. Two wines are produced: Chateau Climens 30,000 bottles and Cypres de Climens 15,000 bottles.
